¿Dónde está Pedro?

It’s been absolutely silent. Talk about the easiest CEO job in America. AAG could put him on a leave of absence and nobody would notice or care.

Last I heard he was in San Juan

Cue HI6 from RN about passengers needing information in off schedule operations ever 15 minutes.

I know we want information on crew staffing but they have been on top of updating the COVID 19 situation relatively often. I don’t think they are sleeping on the job but we are all wondering if Envoy will take the same steps as AA with LOAs or if hiring will continue.

But seriously 03-16-2020 09:59 AM

BS. I’m sure you’re right that they don’t know what’s going on, but a few emails with “trying times”, “in this together” style cliches are warranted. He should at least show some awareness of the concern/panic in his workforce. They want us to keep pax updated every 15 minutes even when we have no new info. A couple of emails isn’t too much to ask.

^^^^^This is spot on. Things are changing daily here on the mainline side. And not for the better. We get emails about additional cuts in flying everyday. They are trying to get a grip on the mainline side and I'm sure the regional side is somewhat on the back burner for now. Make no mistake, we are in absolutely unprecedented times. Things went overnight from "there's been no better time to be a pilot" to "there's been no worse time to be a pilot". The industry and economy are both tanking. And it sounds like there's no relief in sight for several months. The airlines are about to take a blow like never before. Even if the virus gets worked out within a couple of months, the travel demand is going to take a long time to bounce back after the drastic economic hit the world is taking. You guys need to recalibrate your concerns and expectations. Instead of worrying about the Compass planes and when will the flow start back up, start worrying about keeping your jobs and dealing with enormous career stagnations at best. Good luck to us all.

(Disclaimer...this post is coming from a usually glass half full, optimistic type guy. That's how bad things are looking.)

Two things I'm sure that Doug wishes he could take back right now. That quote, and stock buybacks.
