IPad buyback fraud?
 

What has everyone been doing when they get their iPad back and it isn't theirs? Mines obviously older and more beat up than the one I sent it... They said it would be the SAME iPad. Is this fraud? Is anyone telling their CC companies and what's the result?

Have you tried contacting recell? Also, how did you send it in? Individually or through the CPO? I got one back, but honestly didn’t verify the serial number. Mine was in good condition and the one I got back was as well. That being said, I went through the CPO and had a sinking feeling when they took it out of the box with the FedEx label that I could track and jammed it in a box with probably 20 others and didn’t even write down or give me anything to show it was turned in.

They kind of trash them there. Mine came back dirty and scratched up so it really looked like someone elses but it was the same one.

I was told they would “try” to get it back but no guarantees ??

Got lucky and got back the same one I sent in verified with the serial number and in good condition. I sent it in personally though and wonder what the stats are on those who did that and those who used the CPO.

I took mine to FedEx myself as well... Or ups whatever the carrier was. Definitely not my iPad though

can you dispute the charge with your credit card company? That should get their attention

Did they send the iPad back to your house or to the CPO? I thought it was coming back to the house but I haven’t seen it yet.
