Can one join the cadet program as an already employed CFI or is it only available for those in training? I saw there were three levels of cadet, but it’s unclear if you can jump in to the program at any of those levels.
I did not do my training through an Envoy partner school and my first CFI job was also not at a partner school. I was recently offered a position at a partner school though. I still have 600 hours to go until R-ATP mins and I was potentially interested the cadet program due to the MIA base that no other regional has.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Since you’re at a partner school, my understanding is that American Airlines (name on the payroll, we all know it’s for Envoy) will be paying you to instruct (and the school simply reimburses American). And you’d effectively be a fully fledged employee of Envoy, including flight benefits, insurance, retirement.
At least this is how someone explained it to me. I may be wrong so if anyone else has more accurate info, please feel free to correct me!

Confirmed I am eligible for the cadet program; appreciate the responses.
Is the technical interview for the cadet program the same as the technical interview that’s described on Aviation Interviews for non-cadet applicants?
Thanks!

Does anyone know when your priority to bid for base and equipment start once you are a cadet (only HR interview), senior cadet (HR + technical interview) or when you become a cadet IP (CFI/CFII obtained)?
For example, if a cadet or senior cadet got accepted into the program in 2019, but only committed as a cadet IP in 2022. Whereas someone became a cadet in early 2021, and committed as a cadet IP in late 2021, who gets the priority in the new hire class in this case?
Thank you!

And really has little significance if every one is getting 175 with a choice of only DFW or MIA.
That being said, I don’t think they differentiate between different levels of cadets. What ever day Envoy puts you in the program should be the day that starts your cadet clock. If you find out differently, please let everyone know what you find out.

Envoy is now offering a $15,000 cadet bonus. Does anyone have insight on how this new bonus works since their website doesn't provide much detail?
I want to know the following:
1) Which cadet levels (cadet, senior cadet, cadet instructor) are eligible?
2) Is it paid directly to cadet or to your loan company as tuition assistance?
3) Is it paid out in full right after being accepted as a cadet or in installments?
