Training Flow Plan
Anyone know if there are many people left in the training pipeline? Based on the last flow plan, which is more than six weeks old, all but any stragglers should be done.
Also, wasn’t there a small group that had been through INDOC but not started systems. That seems to be supported on the flow plan as well. What’s their status? |

Their status is paid at home, accruing seniority, and watching probation tick by. If they are 145 pilots I would be willing to bet that they will be called back and displaced tot he 175. More 145 instructors were just sent back to the line, so I would imagine that the pipeline on that aircraft is about cleared out.

There would be plenty of lead time to get the instructors back in place if they did a large displacement. They have to announce it, run it, put out a Flow Plan, Ground School, etc. There’d be at least a month or two before before the hordes start hitting the sims.

I heard that the majority of the 145 instructors are displacing to the 175. DFW just got a fair bit more senior.

Envoy doesn’t wanna pay 90+ hrs for a sim instructor to be sitting at home-and it makes sense!

Buddy in the school house headed they may start upgrading in July starting with displaced captains. Obviously, take that with a gran of salt but still nice to here some positive news

A large number of sim instructors have been sent back to the line and they will be moving to the 175. DCL just got more senior. Maybe that's what he is referring to.

E175 = “The Mainline Killer” Highly doubted. You see, the new young breed of AA pilot will defend SCOPE till the end as the old guard retiring at a fast pace. So, for now close your eyes and make yourself believe that you are at mainline while flying your Ejet to AMA. Dream on. |

Dream on. The reality is that there is a lot of room for improvement in the AA contract (although it is obviously orders of magnitude better than any regional deal), and it's entirely possible that scope relief is offered up to realize that improvement. I seriously doubt you'd vote against huge sweeping improvements for yourself just because it's going to make it harder for other guys. Besides that, if you really have the contempt for regional pilots that you express in your post, shouldn't you want to strand as many as possible in the regional sweatshop? Scope relief is how you do that. |
