So...why hasn’t there been an announcement on nyc. I think the writing is on the wall, the more the union and company don’t communicate to the pilot group, the more the morale will go down. Just be honest.

I haven’t been on property long enough to see a base closure. Any idea as to what comes with that for LGA guys who are forced to another base. I know they’ve done unlimited hotels and little things like that, but in this Covid climate who knows. I decided on this last displacement I’m better off riding down the NYC ship than being proactive and grabbin ORD 175 etc. But I agree, if they know it’s coming the sooner we know the better. Maybe not better for mgmt though 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t see why they’d bother with a TDY. They were over staffed everywhere BEFORE the big AUG schedule cuts. If they’re going to be paying 40-50 pilots to just sit around, why would they bother paying for their hotel rooms too.

On the other hand, I wouldn’t put it past management to actually spend money just to screw over pilots.

The company is probably not talking to our union. What a big surprise to see management stalling us. I didn’t see that one coming.

Honestly management is not that bad here, it's the union that puts a knot on everything good. ALPA does jack sht for the regionals.

Does anyone really believe Envoy management has any agency whatsoever? Pedro can't close NY. Pedro is a seat filler, and the AA playboys who are supposed to be making the call are probably riding out the plague on Maui or something.

There may be some hope, but I doubt NYC comes back at all, and in the unlikely event it does it will be in an even more greatly diminished form that may not be worth sticking around for. I'd decide now how long you want to be on the sinking ship. I realize that has sort of a negative connotation but for a pilot depending on what you want, it could be a way to wring some more QOL out of this mess, at least for a few months.

AA completely controls whether we have any flying out of NYC, but I doubt if they get involved in where we have crew bases.

If we had all our pilots based in HNL, AA would probably just ask the same two questions:
-Can you get flights out on time?
-At what cost?

In the scenario I imagine, AA has not yet communicated that Envoy and the 145 are done in NYC. Even though they've already told the shareholders.
