Default Cancellations

It’s about that time of the month when AA drops a boat load of cancellations on us, and all our schedules fall apart. I’ve only had one turn cancel. Anyone else seeing their schedules decimated?

None here yet, maybe the schedule is "right sized"?

What's being cancelled? Mexico? Short turns?

Aag is increasing average 15 percent flying for november in ord compared to October but envoy is reducing its foot print in ord. So who is doing the flying other than aa.

Nope. Piedmont. They just got routes for ORD in November or December.

Operating out of ORD without reserves.

Sounds like a recipe for success.

Nothing better than hearing Piedmont CEO talk about flexibility in staffing, after Envoy mgmt tells you "There is no value in keeping the furloughed pilots qualified".

Piedmont guy here, for what it's worth we already have our November schedules and there is no ORD flying on it. The only firm-ish info we have is a podcast where our CEO says we are "forecast" to begin operating in ORD in November or December. A couple of our guys who claim to have friends in corporate or whatever say that our ORD flying is just gonna be a few turns through outstations, which I think PSA might do already anyways? But us line peons aren't expecting anything significant in ORD, just some round-robbins originating in PHL or CLT.

Don't worry about what a few posters say here. Some people get their panties in a wad real quick. Neither we, nor you, have any say in it so why the fuss? Anyway, as I pointed out upthread, there are sensible reasons for AAG to be using Piedmont in ORD at the moment, even if some guys don't like it. After all, we've been flying in Charlotte for quite a while now, and still are... you guys having a hissy fit about that?
