Airline Apps Review Guru
Hi All,
I am a former Envoy Captain who left in February 2020 for United. It has been a wild two years, but so far United has been a very great fit for me and my family. From the recent class drops, I am thrilled to see so many WO pilots getting hired! I have been successful at getting a few of my buddies interviews here (and at other places) by helping them edit their AirlineApps application. I really enjoyed working with them, and have started thinking of entering the (crowded) review / prep space. Before I flew for Envoy, I worked in finance for American Airlines, and my final position was managing a team in Pilot Recruitment and Development (partly why I decided to make a comeback to the flight deck), and as a result have a very good idea on how to make your AirlineApps really shine and more importantly, how it can sell your story to a recruiter. Because I did work for AA, I am going to recuse myself from helping with AA Pilot Credentials profiles. Each application takes about an hour to review, so charging one hour of my current hourly rate seems fair ($150). Finally, as I am just starting out, and want to show that I have some 'skin in the game' - thus, I will charge you only when you are offered an interview. I do not have a way to know if you are offered one, and do not say anything too me...other than I would not want negative pilot karma! Send me a PM if you are interested, I am going to start with the first 5 that reach out and will go from there! I do ask that you please meet the published minimums to partake in this trial. Thanks! Awesome offer! Hope it helps a few people with their UA flow :)

This is already provided by Charlie Venema with checked and set
He designed Airline Apps and is a former UAL pilot hiring guy. |

There are multiple groups providing this service. There is nothing that says someone else can’t do it.
No dog in this particular hunt. Not endorsing or knocking, but not paying until you get an interview offer is a pretty good guarantee, as is the price. |

And since I have a pretty good idea who we are dealing with here, saying no to this offer would be pretty dumb.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback and interest. If I received a DM from you, I will work with you on your AirlineApps, but am closing the offer for new interested pilot until I finish this first cohort. I will advise on here when it opens back up!
I know this is a crowded space, and I am not pretending to have the magic bullet in getting you an interview for UA (or DL, D9, etc), but what I think I can provide is a low risk and economical way to ensure you are putting your best foot forward. |

Quick follow up here. I was one who had FlyPerdue review my app. Despite my regional having an interview program with several airlines, I'm sure that his review made it possible for me to get the interview which is step 1 in having a CJO in hand. I had a fix it email years ago and wondered what I needed to fix. Dumb a** that I am I didn't have it reviewed. Live and learn!

FlyPurdue is a good dude!

I have already sent my app in to an airline. Is it too late to have it reviewed?

Since we’re on the topic, make sure your logbook data is squared away too before the app!
I used CrossCheck Hub and my interview at Delta went smoothly and NO questions were asked about my logbooks at all, and I printed them entirely using CrossCheck. I still use it at Delta too and it’s the only app that logs flights automatically when my schedule is imported! It’s cheaper than most competitors and has more apps in it that extend beyond the logbook as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
On that note, United wants to know the date/times of all your checkrides, meaning if you aren't logging sims you should probably go back and build that into your logbook sooner rather than later before you forget.

As June rounds out is attrition still high? 300% put into effect to cover summer flying. I assumed pay rates would stop the attrition.

The reality is most of the big money is going to people who weren’t going anywhere anyway. I think this will stem the tide of people bailing for some of the second tier carriers, but if something works better for you in the long run, if they call, you’ll leave. I also think this will bring in a whole wave of people who are going to get Envoyed. Super low seniority captains who learn that they will never see a lot of the money they thought they would and very $h!t QOL until they leave sometime in the next 18 months. |
Please tell me everyone is still going to polish up their apps and get out ASAP. 300% captain pay is still not enough for the loss in seniority.

Get out to where man? People are making $15k a month rn as FO's. It only makes sense to leave for your retirement job.

Thats less than some ACMIs.
Exactly. Its also temporary rates. One industry slip up away from those rates going back to the original raised rates. I completely understand those who want to keep their schedule QOL and all if your more senior but the goal should remain the same on moving on. If I was still at the Voy I’d be planning on those rates expiring and never coming back after 2 years or even less to factor into my decision making on leaving for a legacy or even an ACMI Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Hi All - Thread Bump!
I wanted to let everyone know that the AirlineApps review service is starting back up. My son is now 7 months old, and I feel like I can devote more time to this project. I have a friend who flys for another legacy who will be helping out - he too is very detail oriented and offers a different perspective as he is is a military pilot also. Send me a PM - and I will send you the email address to send your application to. It needs to be in a PDF format, so I recommend making sure it is print legible before you send it to me. My current hourly pay rate is $180/hr and each review+revisions takes about an hour - so that is how much a review will cost (you do get unlimited revisions / Q&As) If you are one of the first 10, my offer stands where you only pay once you get an interview at an airline you are interested in working at. |
