Pay/Upgrade
I know this has probably been answered but couldn’t find it.
What does pay come out to year 1 and 2 FO (what are the bonuses?) What are upgrade minimums? What’s pay come out to year 2 CA? If someone hasn’t flown recently but has their ATP and are current do they have a chance of getting hired? Do any of the bonuses have to be returned if you bail before a specific time? thanks! |

Reserve pay is 75 hrs, lines 72 to 80ish, figure 75x88x12=79.2k plus 30k retention repayable in full, unless hired at AA via flow or front door. If someone hasn’t flown recently but has their ATP and are current do they have a chance of getting hired? Possibly. I believe a sim flight would be a part of the interview if there isn't sufficient currency. Do any of the bonuses have to be returned if you bail before a specific time? Usually yes. thanks! filler |

The new hire bonus is $15K. Can’t find where I saw the exact breakdown, but IIRC it is $10K completion of IOE and $5K after first year. There is another $10K in the “up to” total listed that is probably if you are at, or close to, upgrade flight time when hired, plus there is the $7.5K additional if you have an ERJ-175 or EMB-145 type rating. Most of the previous new hire bonuses have had a two year payback clause with full payback within first year and prorated second year. The ATP-CTP course probably has a similar payback as well.
