Is Envoy canceling Non-121 CJO’s classes?
I got several calls today (well 4), that Envoy has canceled their new hire class dates. These 4 were CFI’s (or no 121 experience). They were told that Envoy is using those classes to put thru DEC’s. Those new hires have not been given a replacement class date but told they could keep their ATP/CTP Class dates. Some had already quit their CFI Jobs for class dates within 2-4 weeks that no longer have a job nor a training class date.
Anyone have insight on what’s going on or is Envoy going to keep these folks hanging after ATP/CTP?

I don't know anything about this but it doesn't surprise me if Envoy is favoring 121 experienced applicants for classes. Since the pay bump, if you look at other regional sub forums, there are lots of folks from other regionals saying they are putting apps in to the AA WO now. Envoy needs captain qualified candidates more than it needs actual FOs right now so maybe Envoy thinks it can push some of those through training quickly?

It will be run July 6th. Contractually, up to 30% (40) can come from 145 captains. If the company really is looking to downsize the 145, they will allow more than that number, OR if they want to keep them, they (Envoy) can choose to back fill those 145 captains with upgrades. Still don’t know how this will play out.
