Envoy layover questions.

Just curious, does Envoy have any nice overnight destinations in the islands or Mexico? If so, are the layovers long enough to do anything?

Any 30 hour layovers? Mesa has some but usually not at great locations.

With Mesa, if we fly to a nice destination like the Bahamas, Key West or Zihuatanejo, it’s almost always just a turn, and if it is an overnight it’s usually a max of 12 hours layover or shorter.

Do y’all stay at the same hotels as AA?

TIA

Used to have some nice Mex overnights until a few months ago it all went to mainline. Used to have lost days in Oaxaca. Envoy does island flying as well, it’s all turns. Looks good on paper, but going through customs is a pain in the a$$ most of the time.

AA Envoy not same hotels.

Same at Mesa, United takes all the good overnights. Can’t have us peons staying at resort destinations. They let us do the turns during the day then they get the overnights.

Key West used to be a great layover and a lost day. Not sure if 'Voy still does them?

SLP used to be one of if not the best hotels in the system at Envoy.

SLP definitely one, if not THE, best hotel, but not necessarily the best overnight. The destinations regionals get go to regionals, for the most part, because they are not as popular.

The “good” layovers, especially with any time there, are few and far between and usually get snagged by someone senior.
