Do ORD reserve crews see the West Coast?

How often, please, do ORD reserve crews find themselves on DFW to SJC/MRY/SBP/other west coast trips?

I know that those pairings originate out of DFW. Just wondering if being based in DFW is a prerequisite for those Left Coast trips?

Many thanks!

Not particularly often. Happens, but not a regular thing currently.

Almost never. Although once on reserve I stumbled into a MRY overnight. Arguably the best overnight in the system.

Reserve it would be rare, but as a lineholder I’ve seen a few of them to SBA and SBP.

Those destinations are often day trips, but even when part of a sequence, they tend to go senior. Seeing them out of base will be even more rare.

They see the west coast of Lake Michigan. Green Bay is the new SBA.

A reserve OCL is trying to dump his SBP
overnight on FB today so there’s that. It is out of DFW though.
