Anything that is exotic doesn’t get a layover, at least not with Envoy.

But, if it’s popular enough, mainline does it. Different people have different opinions about what makes for a good layover, so some might think something is exotic and others think it is terrible. Some people like Mexico over nights, some don’t. Envoy does a lot fewer than they used to, but the places Envoy goes are mostly interior and more industrial. Certainly not Cancun. Probably the best layover is Key West. It is seasonal, though. Nashville, Austin, New Orleans can be pretty decent, if that is your cup of tea. Not necessarily from MIA though. How the puzzle pieces of the schedule fit together changes. Sometimes you do through flying that takes you through another hub, like doing the EYE flight out of MIA, but being a DFW trip. BNA and AUS are somewhat unique because they are “focus” cities so end up with non hub flights. |
