Maintenance to Pilot

Hello everyone,

Was wanting to know if anyone that worked as aircraft maintenance with Envoy was able to scoot over to the pilot side easily? Did they give you a hard time as they want to keep mechanics? I love doing maintenance but I am at the age now where I want to be in the pilot seat. I know they talk alot about wanting to support you bettering yourself within the company as was just curious if any of you all had done this. Thanks

I flew with an FO a while back that was a mechanic in ABI and eventually got his hours to be hired. He never mentioned being given a hard time or discouraged to leave his position. If anything, I'd imagine they'd welcome someone with that much mechanical knowledge to join our pilot ranks.

My sim partner was a mechanic on the E175, I think he had some flying experience (145?) with Envoy before working in the mx department. He's a PSI in DFW, as he lived locally and wanted to be home every night. But I'm sure the line was also an option for him.
