Exactly. Waiting for your gate to open up for 40 minutes, or watching rampers walk around doing everything except marshall you in doesn't cost them a thing (except tens of thousands of gallons of jet fuel annually and extra pay for crew members). All the contracts they sign and expanding it to numerous airports and more gates is what they're concerned about, and it's clearly what makes them profitable.*

*as say this with as much authority as anyone else on these sites who blindly guesses at company financials and business practices.

better; this is for the media - AAG has been beaten up badly of late.
No substance and it virtually assures new AC are going elsewhere - also stated in the investor conference.
After the heat is off, the planes will leave on schedule - unless the world changes.

Look at you, chicken little. The announcement was put out there to (in management's eyes) HOPEFULLY prevent people leaving here in droves. They know they have to do something to keep people here.

When management starts telling you not to worry that's when you should worry.

You guys say all that like your management has some duty to make you happy somehow. Their duty is first to shareholders, second to safety, third to themselves (management salaries, bonuses, and golden parachutes) . You rate down there somewhere around #62.

All true, however the shareholders are not going to be happy if we have to park planes and cut routes due to a potentially severe (qualified) pilot shortage.

That's a problem for another quarter, not this quarter. All that matters is this current quarter.

GOOD management knows a happy employee, is good for the shareholders, safety, and "themselves"!
