Envoy's initial E-175 class

From what I hear the 175 will go junior for Captains. Any thoughts for First Officers?

Keep dreaming. There are a lot of pilots super senior that will bid the E-jet.

Not if your pay banded anyway and don't want to deal with a seat lock or long term training.

When RJ Pilot gets back from Brandenberg Airport in Germany, he will have some good info on this - standby.

It is still over a year before the first 175 starts revenue flights and 8 months before it even shows up on property. The company has only just started the paperwork and a search is out for a 175 fleet manager. Besides initial cadre (which too isnt even out yet) it will be a bit before the first vacancy bid on it has 175s.

So chill... if you need to fly 175s, there are plenty of operators out there who will hire you.

But my bet - it will go Junior on the CA side - who wants to go through the hell that is the AETC, a long term away from family, the growing pains of a new airplane, and the crappy trip trad-ability due the limited number of routes when it comes online.

Typically when any aircraft shows up on property it goes junior until the schedules get better and your not flying the same 2 legs every day...

What's the net gain in total airframes with the E-Jets coming?

Still a net loss from bankruptcy.

Don't be the first, to do anything, in aviation.

Im actually off for the next week. Wow by reading this, they are behind the 8 ball, although I bet they already have the fleet manager, training manager, and initial cadre hand picked. So by going junior are we talking 8yr upgrades?

Thats how it usually works.

Goodluck!
