Default Envoy: 2.5 years upgrade & 6 years flow to AA

The word is out... Envoy management sent out a letter today with some calculated numbers. The promise: 2.5 years upgrade for a new hired today, and to flow to AA in less than 6 years.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Would this apply across the board, or to the guys coming in with no 121 time? For guys with 121 time this seems a little slow in terms of getting to AA, in this current climate.

This may help

Since 2013 there have been 293 Off the street New Hires. During that same time period, 481 Envoy pilots flowed onto the property.

Should all of this be taken with a big dose of salt?

Dear envoy mangament, please tell me. How many planes you have now, how many will you have in say 2017/18 2.5 years from now?

By the numbers, pilots flowing/ versus pilots required I really fail to see how anyone will be upgrading

During a significant portion of which (2013) AA didn't even hire from the street nor had a recruitment dept and were simply moving contractually required Letter 3 pilots to AA, so the correlation is misleading.

But hey.........who cares about accuracy when a SALE is desired !

Actually, if one is truly prepared for a possible future, a powerful antacid.

This latest fluffy letter is actually of little surprise. The MEC at Envoy just voted in a new negotiating committee after having fired the previous one (inexplicably containing 2 members they themselves had voted in on the fired committee just weeks prior !) and soon negotiations are likely to start on new reserve rules that are presently being forced upon the pilots by their thoughtful and caring management among potential other things.

I think it's a perfect time to create euphoria and back-slapping among the pilots before they meet for negotiations in the near future to prime the pump. Now............if we can just find a loyal salesman (who we've got by the short-hairs) to be our point man ?
