Envoy domicile

Domiciles are DFW and ORD, domiciles or bases? you can surely live somewhere else and commute, or does Envoy requires living in DFW or ORD?

N927EV 08-20-2015 08:00 AM

You could live wherever you'd like. The company also gives hotels (unlimited I think) to commuters. But, commuting sucks!

4 hotels a month

Skyvector 08-20-2015 08:52 AM

You are provided 4 hotels a month for commuting on either side of your trip. That isn't a hard number as people usually request-and get-well over 4 a month. Also if you lose any flying during your sequence you are provided with a hotel. Most Regionals in that situation would require you to buy your own hotel room or go to a crash pad that you also pay for since you are "in base".

It's looking more and more likely that MIA will also open as a satellite base soon. That mainly means a full base with no Chief pilot or other administrative personnel present. Otherwise it is a normal base and should open soon. Details are still being worked out with the company and our Union in regards to exact language governing the opening of MIA.

For more concessions, they will re-open MIA.

Good Luck!

I heard Psa might be opening a 700/900 base in Mia soon. That would be interesting. It would be a lot more fights in the jetway between Psa and Envoy crews.I'm grabbing my popcorn

Good Luck!

In the last 3 month it has been ord, cvg, new york, and now mia base. PSA will be lucky to keep what they have.

I heard envoy is opening a base in ase since the faa started laughing when psa requested ase approval. I can still hear them laughing.

Your thoughts, comments, rumors, insults, hurt feelings, arrogance, and ignorance are not welcomed here. Please stop trying to stir sh*t up all the time. The dude wants info on Envoy bases and you start this petty crap. You spend way way too much time on here. Go out and find a life and stop with this petty obsession you have of Eagle.

To answer your question…. You get 4 company paid hotels a month but only at the start/end of your sequence. So if you have to commute in on your day off then the company will pick up a hotel.

It's not just start/end of sequence. If you lose an overnight mid-sequence the company will provide a hotel in-base.

And those hotels don't count towards the four commuter hotels either.

griff312 08-22-2015 07:36 PM

In addition to the 4 commuter hotels a month and hotels in base for lost flying, you can also get a company paid hotel for picking up OT, if the OT sequence is non-commutable, and it does not count toward the 4 a month. To answer your other question, as others have said, ORD and DFW are our only current bases that you can go to, as MIA has closed, and NY is set to close. But, like others have said, MIA should become a satellite base soon, and rumors of a possible NY satellite base in the future.

All Accurate; except the MIA satellite base is still being negotiated and there have been no discussions of a New York satellite base.

I wouldn't put any credence into new PSA base rumors. I've heard more of them than I can count over the past few months. None of which were true.

Don't know. That's just what they used to tell everyone on a weekly basis when I was there.
