Fortunately at Envoy, I have yet to fly a trip with anyone that remotely defends the company like the flow blowhards here.

You are not someone I would want to be stuck in the cockpit with for a 4-day.

Only a total doofus, goon or both could turn this statement of fact thread into a cheering competition for Envoy. Or maybe.....a management plant or company stooge perhaps. The talk of Envoy being so above all other regionals has just been revoked. They close bases just like all other dirtbag regional operators. Heck, Envoy IS a dirtbag operation.
It's a fact. Envoy has closed 6 of their 8 bases. I'm not exactly sure of the year that BOS closed, but it was 2008 or after. Doesn't matter. Envoy has closed 75% of their bases in the past 6-7 years. Keep funneling that kool aid company boys! It's important to note though that the fact Envoy has morphed into a two-base carrier doesn't necessarily mean it will go to one base or disappear, so that's not a good litmus of its future per se. But yes, your claims are technically correct about Envoy's recent stability. It is indeed among the poorest out there. Clearly, many pilots there are in denial about Envoy's situation and so the usual way to avoid confronting that is to rationalize its past with belief in a better future. Part of that is attacking those that confront that which they themselves have avoided via denial. They cannot refute your examples, so all that's left is irrelevant attack. The fact is the flow-thru's are only assumed projections and that includes Envoy ALPA's latest assessment, which is founded on the most optimistic, best-case scenarios. The good news for any present or aspiring regional pilot, including Envoy is that there is virtually no situation that will result in unemployment. Even if Envoy was "Comaired", virtually every Envoy pilot would spend little time not employed due to the increasing, but not yet peaked regional airline pilot crisis. The not-so-good news is that any individual pilots actual journey to AA via the flow is an unknown and subject to many delay potholes. The remainder of the 824 have the best outlook as clearly there is a reason they are sucking more Envoy pilots to AA then are being replaced. That cannot continue into perpetuity and once the last of the 824 are gone, a past statement from Parker is apt to make a reappearance and that's, "the landscape has changed"................................again. |

That is because you are actually an envoy pilot and he is not.
BTW, you are suppose to bring the donuts to the super secret management cheerleading meeting this week. I heard they will be serving Pink Lemonade Kool Aid this week so, yeah, I'm pretty excited. I'll bring a couple dozen. I already have requests for Chemtrail Glazed, Base Closure Cream, Reserve sprinkles (a lot of people like that flavor), and Old-Fashioned Bitters. What's your request? |
What happened to MIA satellite base? Seems that ALPA didn't want to play ball with AAG.
You guys can continue to help out RAH while they spool up MIA operations. Good Luck! |
By the way OP, JFK was opened and co-domiciled. LGA was already a domicile. You don't seem to be very in knowledgable in AE history. I suspect you do not even work here

PSA has opened one base already as a result of the new American. Forecasted to open another soon. As of right now, they have double the bases of Envoy.
