I meant more like benefits once you join up. DoH from date of being a cadet, helps for seniority in your class and benefits start day one. Your flight benefits travel date when on standby is based on that doh too.

Right now there really is no benefit to signing on with the pipeline instructor program other than travel benefits. Not just Envoy but any of them. The regional recruitment strategy is constantly evolving for lack of a better term. First a pipeline program, then bonuses, now regionals are paying for your last 100 hours of flight time. Pay has increased markedly for First Year FO's in the last 12 months. Things only seem to be getting better.

I heard Envoy is the best. It's the original American Eagle. I also heard the aircraft will be spilt up amongst the three. Envoy will get E175s, PSA will get CRJs, and Piedmont will fly E145s. That's what's I hear.

Just say no to the envoy convoy
Hey,
Has anyone successfully gotten out of the contract? I don't want to work for them (or any regional) ever, and I didn't get what was promised in the contract. PM me any info you might have! Thanks PS - this is why you don't sign contracts with corporations!! |

Thanks PS - this is why you don't sign contracts with corporations!! The downside is that you would be burning the bridge to any AA job down the road. At my school, we can't keep you on after 1500 without breaking our contract with Envoy even if you want to stay. My advice, go to Envoy for a year. You will get paid better than most 135 SICs, you will gain a healthy chunk of jet time which will make you insurable in most airplanes if you want to go to a corporate job later on. |
