Envoy Aircraft Selection / Reserve Schedule
I'm new to airline stuff, just a helicopter pilot switching over in the coming months.
1. Aside from "what's available" when interviewing...how is aircraft assignment determined? 2. For a guy like me, what are some differences that will be noticeable between E145/E175/CRJ. ✈️ 3. Aircraft assignment will happen on the first day of indoc where everyone will bid on what is available. You won't find better training anywhere else. The CRJ and 145 don't have a lot of the automated features that the 175 does, like say autothrottles. However, you won't find any of the jets that much different in the end. 3. Reserve assignments are bid for each month. You'll get a reserve line with hard days off and then on each day of reserve, you'll be assigned a different RAP, or Reserve Availability Period. You can proffer for flying that is available as well. 4. Cupholders are in all aircraft. They all vary as to how they hold different cups, cans, etc. |

Welcome to Envoy! You absolutely will not regret your decision. You'll be a captain in 2.5 years or less and flow to AA in 5.5 to 6 years. To help answer your questions...

Bear in mind that while it shows he is loyal to Envoy, lines one and two of paragraph 2. are used by nearly every regional out there. Not a reason to go anywhere, as they will ALL train you to the standard they expect.

Dacuj and cr700 are recruitment, take what they say with a grain of salt. They sell t a product that could happen, unfortunately our management likes to talk about what could happen if they knew how to do anything. 6 year flow may happen, but those 6 yrs will be hell. These tools even say suffer here for 6 yrs, and you will be rewarded with flow. Those 6yrs will make you not want to flow. Pedro and Ric will drive you into the ground.

What are some rough estimates for a timeline on a new-hire getting a base at DFW?
