The same applies to the E-175's that went to Republic for AAG. The rumor was that AAG was bankrolling the financing of the aircraft for Republic, with a contract clause that enabled them to retake the aircraft should Republic fail to provide the lift. The contract isn't public, so again we don't know that for sure.
The real takeaway from this is that once again Doug Parker only values a contract if he thinks it benefits him. APA approaches the company for pay parity or early opener? Sorry, a contract is a contract says Doug. The envoy pilots just signed a bankruptcy contract? Who cares, accept our terms or else. Compass has a CPA through 2020? Who cares, we're going to sic our blood-sucking lawyers on you and get the contract annulled in court. AAG's word is only good as long as it benefits themselves.

This is such BS. Your misinformation is getting really old. You've said before you live in base and bid reserve, so how can you even answer his question truthfully?
Here's the answer from a junior line holder: Even if you get the worst 4 on/2 off, most uncommutable line in the entire bid packet, you can trade all of your trips to be commutable on one or both ends (sometimes transition trips can be hard to trade). I am not senior, usually get one of my last choices of lines, and trade every trip to make it commutable.
I get that QOL sucks here, but making stuff up just makes you look like you're pushing an agenda, and it doesn't help the new guys out.

If you live in DFW and can get DFW based on the 175. QOL on RSV is not "that" bad on that fleet. If you will commute to RSV here on any other fleet, that is a totally different story.

It's hard to trade many trips with 4 on/2 off all month. Plus there aren't many available trips to trade into anyway. I'm lucky if I get one trade for the month.

Who are you to put words in his/her mouth??? Your 1st base is not my 1st base...quit trying to compare what you deem commutable with others...

He's a guy who lives in base and bids reserve. He's got very little idea how "commutable" the schedules are. Yet that doesn't stop him from spouting some BS to someone that is looking into working here, doing that person a major disservice.
I get it. Some guys are ****ed at the company. Things were way better before the bankruptcy. I agree QOL here kinda sucks. But straight up lying to people because they have an agenda is wrong. Same goes from CR700 and Dacuj. Their positive spin and lies are so far outside of reality and it doesn't help anyone.
This board should be about pilots helping pilots, no BS or spin. But it always devolves into the same back and forth "Envoy is good" vs. "Envoy is evil". It's not fair to the guys out there looking for honest answers.

Absolutely nothing QOL related has been rectified. The only thing that has improved is bonuses for FO's, new hires and vastly increased hiring levels. Absolutely nothing QOL related has been fixed, at all. Lines are absolutely horrendous as shown in the data posted by ALPA monthly. We have the worst, lowest average credit, lowest day off, most unproductive schedules in the entire US regional jet industry. (fact). We have the highest percentage of reserve pilots of any airline in the country. Uncommutable 2 days off is now normal, not the rarity like in the past. 5 (4 day) sequences per month now is normal for most. Absolutely No variety any more, like day trips or 2-3 day trips for locals to be home more, basically 100% 4 day trips now, in some statuses it is 100% 4 days. Which is horrendous for locals living in base. Reserve rules and abuses are godawful in most statuses. Especially DFW 145 CA.
As rough as reserve is, QOL by bidding reserve is still better than 98% of the lines in the bid pack on most statuses (except DFW 145 CA) if you are a local which speaks volumes about how bad the schedules really are. When reserve is senior over lines, that is pretty telling. No way I would bid one of these terrible lines over RSV as a CA here, even as a mid seniority line holder. They are too bad, pay credit is awful and Time away from base is the highest I have ever seen. 400 + hours of time away from base was unheard of just a few years ago. Now its normal, and for min pay credit.
If you want to say hiring is good, flow is working and upgrade time is dropping, I will agree. QOL absolutely is not improving though. It is terrible, worst it has ever been. Sad thing is it doesn't have to be this way, they could easily fix it without raising costs, but they don't. People managing from offices are home every night. Obviously They don't get it.
