I know a lot of senior FO's are holding out for various reasons and with 150 CAs upgrading, how junior do you think each position with go or even unfilled? I imagine the 80 ord 175 CA slots will get filled, but how junior do you think that will go? I'm sure some of the New York 145 won't get filled. I'm not talking about any of the displacement stuff that is being discussed here, just straight upgrade of guys wanting to do it. Just trying to get an idea of where the cutoff would be for eligible guys who want a specific spot.

I agree, I'm sure there will be many spots that will go unfilled before they begin displacing FO to CA. All ORD 175 will be filled, I would definitely think that MIA will be filled. The problem will be in NY just like the last bid. No telling how junior the bases other than NY will go.

There will probably be some guys in today's new hire class that get the upgrade. Statistically there are probably a handful from other airlines.

Yes, 61.159 has been overlooked...
"Not more than 100 hours of the total aeronautical experience requirements of paragraph (a) of this section or §61.160 may be obtained in a full flight simulator or flight training device provided the device represents an airplane and the aeronautical experience was accomplished as part of an approved training course in parts 121, 135, 141, or 142 of this chapter."

This is probably pretty accurate. Can anyone from the historic class today confirm if there are a lot of ExpressJet guys in class today?

10 previous 121 guys in this class, only 5 so far that I know of that can. I am one of them, but hoping I don’t get forced into it.

According to the contract provision the company wants to enforce, you would be the first one affected by it.

If it happens I’m prepared for it, but got my fingers crossed!

I would upgrade if I could hold DFW on anything, heck I would fly a kite if it was DFw base. I don’t want reserve ORD for the next few years.
