That's correct. The union gave different information a few days ago - email your reps and ask why it's changed if you're upset.

Why would anyone be upset? We are use to all the misinformation by now. It's standard operating procedures for the past three weeks.

Default Logging time

Just curious how guys are logging time. Obviously the company keeps track to the minute. I have always used the tenth. Army rounds up after six minute increments. My 135 outfit rounded down the first two minutes after the tenth and up after that. I'm trying to avoid a big disparity between what my log book shows and what the company shows and don't want a big rounding error that looks like I'm padding, but don't want to short myself either. I know a bunch of guys pay for the service that draws the company info out and creates a log book. Just curious what the norm is. Also, how do you keep track of WX time? Again I know the services can figure out night but not instrument time.

And what do you put on your resume? ME jet? I think technically most are considered turbofan, but doesn't have the ring to it.

No doubt. I agree. My point of opening this can of Annelida is that we need to crank the responsibility dials up a bit and get the critiques going again. I certainly don’t want my family riding with a captain who doesn’t know limitations very well or can’t calculate fuel burn. (Seriously, this is easier than reciting all the limitations.)

This is the current state of our workgroup now. Gone are the days of captains with at least 6 years in. Also it isn’t just the captains responsibility, it’s also the IOE guys too. I don’t know who is allowing or teaching people this but I’ve been getting FOs who want to level out 2000-3000’ 20 miles away from the outstation. I explained to him why we have no business being this low so far away and the complications of such a practice. He didn’t even respond. Just kept doing it.

Yes I've had this happen to me too once or twice. It's usually the guys that would rather get down then having to deal with being too high. From now on there will be lots of things you have to worry about as the experience level in the cockpit will be down. I'm sure there will be lots of FOs teaching CAs a thing or two as well. I came from another place where having low time CA paired up with low time FOs was the norm, it's totally doable but you just have to remain vigilant.

What misinformation? It's pretty clear what's happening.

ok man, not being an ash-hole when i asked the FO to share the work load nor my intentions were to make him feel irrevlevant in the flight deck. i do my own calculations and compare with the dispatchers numbers. i'm not making excuses for myself but i was entering the hold info in the fms, getting current weather at the alternate, making announcements, and also acting as the PF.

just trying to stay ahead of the aircraft

not messing with him, like what i said above. i calculate my own bingo fuels, compare it with the disptcher's numbers and wanted him to calculate it as well.

yes, this is my normal procedure when assigned a hold. i was just surprised when he was unsure where to gather all the info.

i didn't do this with this FO nor do i treat any of my co workers this way. i respect the people i work with, including the gate agents and ramp personnel.

Default 10 year history format

I have an interview with Envoy next week and working on my 10 year history. What format do they want to see this in? I want to make it look professional and clean but not sure how they want to see it. Thanks in advance!

I did two sets one for employment, the other for address. Mine was just done in word, vertically with most recent at the top working my way back.
