This coming flow plan is going to be massive. When it will come out?

I know they say don't come to a regional for the base, but I thought once I got to DFW I would be relatively safe.

Obviously not.

I guess we'll have to use the quote again...

Lol. Good plan until the union gets with the company and passes the LTFO and the union forces you to fly trips to build 1000 hrs and kick you up to LGA.

Although true I don't think it's fair to ask people to fall on a sword that you wouldn't do yourself. Why don't you quit in protest?

Using 15G4 to fill backfills is a gross violation of the contract and the union is allowing it to happen.

Not only are they forced to NY. They are forced to be forever ultra junior in the worst possible commuting to reserve situation imaginable. Since they are so junior with the company everyone will keep upgrading or being force upgraded above them so they will basically never move up to any schedules they want or ever get anything they bid for. They will be airport standby every day with one day off a week (after commuting) for a LONG time. Not sure they even realize the crapfest they are in for.. (Lived that life for years here). Would never go through that again and I at least had people junior to me coming in regularly, which a new hire CA won't. It will be the opposite, people will keep trickling in above them making their bidding seniority never improve.

Y'all use airport reserve a lot?? Is it seniority based versus short call?

I have training coming and asked two different captains today about this question. Both said to try to get a trip that covers all of your training days.

Yes and it is terrible. They are abusive to the reserves with standby, using a revolving door of standby pilots daily. There is standby lines not many people bid, which you can't be forced into, but if you don't bid it they just call people in to do it every day anyway for 8 hour shifts. As soon as they burn that person, they call the next on the list and so on all day long.

I’m aware man, I am one of the new guys affected. I am trying to be optimistic, but it’s hard to...

The only saving grace we may have is all the XJEt guys coming over, but that’s assuming they come to ENY over E9... once word gets out they are going to be in LGA either way, why wouldn’t they go to E9?
