They build you a line and then you also have 2-3 RSV days as well. As soon as the monthly bid is awarded you email Swaps and Drops with any preference you have for days off. You may or may not get days off you request when they build the line. They build the composite lines during the time between the ATTOT window closing and the 48 hr window opening.

Is there an RF form for the email or just plain english with requested days off? Plain English When you say after the bid award, you mean for example today after they released the awards for next month or is it after they build the schedule?Today after the final is released

DFW or Bust
So I am considering Envoy next year, probably Aug/Sept. I am currently under contract until July. I am also a slighty older candidate, early 40's. One particular reason why I was attracted to Envoy for the most part, was because I had been told guys my age would "most likely" get DFW on the 175.
Recently, I read that ENVOY are no longer putting new FO's @ DFW or in the 175, for now. Do you foresee these placements continuing into next year? I know things change based on demand, and beggars cannot be choosers. However, with my current family situation (2 kids, 4 & 6) I do not want spend months/years in ORD or LGA. I don't care about which aircraft I would be assigned, but I do care about how long it will take for me to get to DFW. I live in Houston, hence my desire for DFW.
I do not want to join MESA, but will "if" ENVOY are not assigning new hires to DFW mid 2018, only for the sake of QOL.
What do you guys think? I REALLY want to be apart of the ENVOY team, but I have to also make some more time for my children (by spending less time commuting), at least until they are a little older and understand a little better what I do. My daughter the other day broke out crying saying that I "never want to spend time with them because I always want to go to work." That broke me! I current fly a CE650, and spend most of my weekends on the road. At least once I am 121, I will have some sense of schedule, not so much flying 91.

Go somewhere that you can get weekends off ASAP and commutable schedules, and somewhere with no base locks so you can move around as needed.

There was news out of Envoy a while back that seniority really isn't done by age anymore. Something like the Cadets get first choice, and then prior 121 get second choice, then by age of whoever is left. As an "old guy" in class, you could still have 20 people bidding for bases first, including the 22 year old kid straight out of flight training.

Ask this question again about a month or so before you’re ready to make the jump and you will have some more realistic answers.

I was waiting for the first troll. Based on your feedback, I am assuming you don’t have children. If you do, you’re probably a terrible father. Basically you are saying that anyone with children should not be in aviation. Do the world a favor, pull your lips over your head a swallow.
If you don’t have any positive to contribute, just scroll on. For the rest of you, thank you.
