Where do you think those lucrative bonuses you now enjoy came from? Pilots were bailing from the Pinnacle / Mesaba / Colgan family like rats off a sinking ship. Bonuses were used to prop up the collapsing pilot group. Now they are used to lure new hires to work somewhere with an otherwise terrible contract. Strip away those bonuses (which aren't guaranteed by the CBA) and there isn't much left. As a former ASA pilot, the idea of Endeavor still tweaks my blood pressure a few notches higher.

The ASA contract has better work rules than the Delta mainline contract, for perspective.

There's plenty of blame to go around for this one. It's not just the Pinnacle pilot group either. I remember seeing a lot of high five posts on the ASA and Skywest forums because airframes that 9E operated were headed their way. It irked me because it seemed all anyone cared about was that we told Delta to pi$$ off to keep the so called bar high. If I remember correctly, it seemed there was very little support for the 9E group as to their future. And remember pilot hiring was no where near what it is today. What I mainly remember was reading was the cheering about more planes. Maybe karma is real

Right. Unfair to say all have. Also urealistic to say none have too. Hats off to the righteous that haven't. I just remember being majorly ticked off after reading ASA and Skywest posts during our dark days. As seen by a couple people posting here, a few bad apples can spoil the bunch. I wish each and everyone at ASA the best.

Sorry to hear this, I'm a former ASA guy. To those affected, if you can, leave the whipsaw altogether. Southwest, jetblue, Frontier, Spirit and Allegiant are all hiring and they hire tons of regional FO's with no PIC. In my opinion it's a brighter future than starting over at another regional. Going to Endeavor or PSA just puts you right back in the same predicament. Good luck to all of you.

How is delta able to give up that much lift? Most places right now can't staff what they have let alone taking on additional airplanes.

I believe Former DL CEO Mr. Richard Anderson calls it "upguaging" and the Canucks offered just the machine to assist in doing so.
