Conference call tomorrow Thursday 4th at 6pm. It will be very interesting to hear how many pilots would dare to ask management about the big rumor. Likewise, it will be even more thrilling to hear what management response will be. I do no expect any admission to the rumor tomorrow; however, would they deny it straightforward. Would there be any hesitation, inflection, when challenge by this sort of questions? Will see

I don’t have a crystal ball for what this announcement may be but I do have a few thoughts on the matter. If United does buy a stake in XJT, it would be akin to the same type of investment in CommutAir. There will likely be no “flow through” agreement as UA ALPA is strongly opposed to this. Skywest wants to shed what’s left of XJT for obvious reasons but this threatens United’s feed. A purchase of XJT by United would only serve to sustain that feed in the short term. Longer term, who knows. I wouldn’t get your hopes up for any flow agreements, combined list ect.. I worked for ASA for 9 years and I’m trying hard to get everyone I know out of there. Good Luck to all of you!
I actually agree with you... although, I do think it would be smart to start the flows soon to help staff the feed and keep people which would create stability, not to mention it would deal a blow to the LCC's in the future if all the legacies started buying up their feed and give flows... why go to an LCC if you can be at a major after 5yrs or even less with all the retirement due to hit at the big 3? But, at the end of the day I also believe you are right and Ual would just keep the CPP in place and just give raises in a new contract equal to Endeavor and throw some signing bonuses for new hires equal to the others out there to make it competitive... So, if an announcement comes soon, hold off on the cheering and jumping for joy because I dont think much will change on the career progression side of things... but some nice $25-$30hr raises (Uniteds money) across the board in a new contract to be competitive is gonna be nice for everyone and some extra bonuses! That's the most likely scenario I'm seeing...

I would start filling out your apps then. LGA closing by end of May 2018 and maybe TYS opens on the 145. Anything from United would be further down the road and too late to save this place. Maybe they throw money at us but I really dont see a flow in the immediate future if at all.
