9E vacancy bid
FYI for any GOTTA BE IN ATL folks at ASA.
9E just came out with a vacancy bid. Based on past performance I would expect at least 5 ATL CRJ200 Captain positions to go to new-hires. It's still not a street Captain, but it is a Captain award before done with FO training.
900 Captain is still unlikely as a new-hire.
This is not the greatest opportunity, but it is something for those who want to be in ATL and not commute. It also means sitting reserve for at least a year or two since you will be leapfrogging quite a few FOs.

To clarify the 150% pay:
All open time you pick up is paid at 150% minimum. They do pay 200% when demand goes up. Sometimes rare, sometimes happens a lot. Depends on the situation.
As for receiving 150% above 85 hours, that's only if you elect "Enable Max Line Range" on your monthly PBS bid, and then subsequently block/fly more than 85 hours. If you don't select "Enable Max Line Range", and do fly more than 85 hours, your pay is straight 100% for everything. Word of caution, enabling max line range tells the computer solver you'd rather be awarded tons of flying over your other PBS requests. As a low seniority line holder, I enabled max line range a few months back. I was awarded 98 hours credit, received min days off and nothing was commutable. My paycheck was fat, but it was a very tough month. Gone all the time working or commuting. I no longer enable max line range. I will enable it again when I get higher seniority.
Also, we are 100% pay protected and receive 100% deadhead pay. We're paid block or better.
I'm not fishing for a referral bonus. I realize XJT people got handed a turd sandwich. You deserve solid information when deciding your next move. If you decide to come to 9E, find a former XJT guy/gal that's here now, and split the referral with them.
Health Ins was recently discussed in one of the 9E threads. I'm retired military so I get my health ins that way, and I have no clue if 9E's health ins is good, bad or average compared to XJT.
Good Luck!
