Default Bases / Seniority

Considering applying to XJT. What bases are junior and most likely able to hold an FO line with minimal (if any) reserve?

In all seriousness, I wouldn't consider XJT or any United Express regional. Subpar pay, indefinite upgrades, unknown future to name a few reasons.

Most junior FO's with hard line
EWR 9/2017
CLE 5/2016
IAH 10/2016
ORD 7/2017

EWR is the most junior. Reserve seems to be around 4 months.

Management has stated several times that a virtual TYS base is coming “soon”, but we shall see. And if it does appear and anyone is left from ATL it will probably be senior.

Interviewed with both of them, offers from both, still unsure as to right direction. So back to researching other possibilities. . .

It depends on what you want out of life.

Living in base is key for a lot of pilots with families. That means minimizing time away. Pilots have one of the highest divorce rates. It can be a hard life on a relationship.

Making it to the majors is key for a lot of pilots. That means flying for a regional that has a good reputation.

Good luck!

When I look at those who got divorced it usually has more to do with one or both partners versus the career.

You are able to hold ORD, CLE, EWR in training, IAH takes 2 months.
