How many pilots are left? Is ATL closeed? I was there for 19 years.
Thanks,

Thanks,

ATL will stay open until November unless extended again.
About 380 pilots were around to bid for September. Probably less than 300 pilots by October if not already.

Thanks, wow I hated to see that happen, I enjoyed my time there .

That is a lot of planes and pilots. Endeavor can't be taking over all that flying and Skywest isn't staffed for it. Skywest only has about 200 pilots in Atlanta. I wonder what the plan is

I doubt there will be any extensions pending the ratification of the TA...XJT will need every warm body on property to staff the 171 airframes they plan to fly.

Thanks,

It's not all bad. Kalitta came in and has given abbreviated interviews to every LASA pilot who has been here more than 8 years. Basically, it's a short HR interview.
Probably about 80-100 senior pilots will accept the positions there. Unless UAL does something I Kalitta may return every once in a while to do it again.

380 pilots on the list, not in ATL. That includes the pilots that are in DFW supporting a 20 aircraft operation out there. So probably 180-200 total pilots in DFW. That leaves 180 or so pilots in ATL and I’m sure a good number of them are on LOA, MGT, ALPA, or some kind of leave status.

DAL asked that LASA fly into DEC, they are done mid NOV, because END nor SKY cannot cover all of the flying.
