I think it's far from sad, their compensation looks like it will land in the top 3 in the regional industry. Along with the strongest contract, 175s, and 171 aircraft for United. And potentially no more SkyWest.

Yeah. The company probably could’ve passed a status quo contract simply with the promise of getting out from under the SGU Mainliners.

Vote closes at 9:00am Central Thursday. We should know the results shortly after.

Don’t kid around this was a coup for Skywest. They successfully merged the airlines with the enthusiasm of a typically militant pilot group. YOU DELT THEM AN ACE. ASA is still flying CRJs while your next set of CRJs are already being prepped on the XJT side. Wow that was close! Not.
In days of yore TSA had an excellent contract too, I hate to divulge but XJT does not stand above the rest anymore. Almost everyone has made big improvements. Vacation touching is great but it isn’t career great while the minimum day pay makes me barf.
A very distant 3rd place is not respectable in pattern bargain. The rest of the field hovers around 3rd place. Add the 40k signing bonus and they have your compensation locked down. That is only going away when you bargain something away in the future!
Congrats. Just go away.

What part of your contract is the strongest? Serious question. Also far below 1 and 2 in pay.

The airline was merged over a year ago. This TA changes nothing about the XJT-ASA relationship. It is NOT a joint CBA. ASA pilots are merely being transferred to the XJT contract and this will happen regardless if this TA passes or not.

Hearing unofficial reports that the TA passed 90/10 with 87% eligible voter turnout.
