Exactly. Kalittas contract may state you can’t hold a seniority number at another airline. Which contract do you honor, the past or the future.

Personally, I’m glad they did it that way. Prevents even MORE stagnation at this log jam.

Except that, as far as I know, no other airline requires this. Hopefully it works out for everyone.

Long time lurker here and don’t post very much. Excepted a CJO 2 weeks ago and am very excited about where Expressjet is headed. When I interviewed the TA had just passed so I was told that I was coming in at a great time. Is there any truth to the company getting the E175’s? I was also told the I would be on the E145 out of EWR but I see that ORD is expanding and TYS is opening next year. Is EWR a reasonable expectation out of training or are new FO’s being sent to ORD? I don’t really have a preference for either as I am happy to be here and will fly whatever wherever. Just asking for planning purposes as I plan on not commuting and living in base. Also, recruiter said there should be an announcement on the E175’s soon so I am holding off accepting a class date until that announcement is made hoping that I will be able to be in that first class. Am I an idiot for thinking that is a good idea or should I get my ass in class ASAP?

Get in ASAP, because in all likelihood you won’t be able to hold the 175 right away. The more senior group is likely to bid for it.

I was offered a CJO this week. They informed me that I was being hired for a E145 FO position. What is the likelyhood of holding KORD out of training?

That’s the most important thing to me right now. I’m pretty excited about Expressjet. Seems like a great time to be getting on.

I would assume ORD or EWR out of training. If EWR, you should get ORD quickly.
