Interestingly enough, all of the initial cadre instructors that were scheduled to go out to STL for E-175 training on the 26th of NOV were cancelled last minute with no reason or update. Talked to a couple of them yesterday. The company just pulled the plug on that. Who knows.

They need to change the SkyWest signs on the lockers in STL to say ExpressJet first. Also, the Embraer sim in STL requires a signed CPA.
Sounds like you know more than XJT management and United combined. Hope you can put that knowledge to good use. |

Embraer won’t give XJT priority on sim training if their hasn’t been an official award for those aircraft.

There doesn’t need to be a public announcement to get priority - just a signed CPA. However, if ExpressJet instructors are in STL on Embraer’s SIM, the industry will know. United may want ExpressJet to wait. It may be that simple.

You think 90% would go back to pax flying? I can understand the stress of going through our initial training, but it's an entirely different world once out on the line. Sure it has its own set of negatives, but doesn't have the negatives of regional pax flying, which I think would keep most from wanting to go back to a regional once they taste it.

Mesa had instructors in the stl sim way before they even announced the Ejet contract. It takes a long time to get a new aircraft type on a certificate.
Mesa also had its initial cadre of pilots go to Brazil to accept the Ejets before the conformity by maintenance occurred. That was a couple of months before line flying started. I would think they would need to accept the Ejets two months before they go into United’s fleet. So, some of Xjet pilots need to be ready by June 2019 (if the Ejets go online in August 2019). |

I bet there will be a major announcement coming. It will be a guaranteed interview with Skywest for those that are still with ExpressJet. United will not purchase ExpressJet so let that go.
