It’s good if you assume they can be replaced with cheaper labor. I think that wad was blown when pilots left XJT for other regionals. I think you will see some come over, but not nearly as many as were lost and, I don’t think, enough to do the flying wanted by UAL.
Of course this assumes UAL gives XJT the -175’s. They may look at current performance numbers (due to high attrition), and have second thoughts.

A post on our Facebook page is saying UA is happy with us and wants us to do more flying. But of course, we don’t have the staff to do it... I think UA knows getting the 200s up and running wasn’t going to be a cake walk.

I honestly hope you are right and there is good news for those still there by the holidays.

With the smaller class sizes, can you receive more training if needed? Should be interesting coming from a C-172.

Yes. They'll give you extra help if you need it. Flying jets also isn't as difficult as people make it out to be. If you have good basic instrument and multiengine skills, you can fly an ERJ.

Yes. I had recurrent and during the brief a student came having just passed their checkride. They hadn’t flown in a while so training took longer than normal but had a good attitude and was willing to learn.

Brush up on BAI flying, show up willing to learn, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Congrats!

Great, thanks. I am proficient with my instrument skills, as I try to take my students throught the clouds whenever possible. I've been waiting for this moment for over 30 years, so I will be sure to work as hard as possible to pass. I saw in an older thread on here a former XJT pilot posted flows, limitations etc from 2014. Would it help to review them now? Everyone I have met and/or spoken to at XJT and on APC has been very hekpful. Thanks for helping an old man's dream come true.

The flows will be different but the limitations and memory items should be the same. I’m guessing you know you’re going to get ERJ?

Yup, got the ERJ. Would the flows be vastly different?

A couple years ago the flows/checklist changed. Don’t want to risk the laws of primacy if those happen to be the old flows. It’s not the biggest deal but don’t want to accidentally make it harder on yourself.

Good probability the limitations are the same.
