SkyWest, Inc. Enters into Agreement to Sell E

Sounds to me, CC is just bummed that he has to find another scape goat for his incompetences as the guy that thinks he knows how to run an airline. Sorry SKW, going to have to take responsibility for your own crap now.

It's funny to watch you guys cream yourselves over the 175's. They are not coming. How are the proving runs coming along? LOL .Does Mx have the tooling yet? LOL. How many people are in class this month? LOL. Yeah and your suppose to take delivery in April? I know I know but "they promised us"! That is real ritch. United is not buying Xjet! There is nothing to buy. They own nothing, not even those old crappy 145's. . Gojet is going by by as well. Their United 700's are leaving and Delta is going to only have 3 regionals next year.

I suspect it will end up being an LLC where United owns less than 50% to placate the FA contract. United would have to be a party to the agreement in order to agree to protecting the SkyWest CPA’s. Same arrangement as CommutAir.

Per the internal communication, ManaAir LLC is a group of investors in which United is a partner.
I.E. we've been sold to United. It's official.
Melit can bite me.
From the communication on our website:
SkyWest, Inc., has entered into an agreement to sell ExpressJet to a United Airlines joint venture.
The agreement, which is expected to be complete in early 2019, will establish ExpressJet as a private company owned by ManaAir, LLC, an investment company in which United is a partner. Not only will ExpressJet continue operating under its own certificate, it will quickly become an independent company.
Everyone keeps asking about a flow. There has been no announcement yet regarding a flow or any other career progression scheme to UA (other than the current CPP).

Remember when everyone was saying United is unable to purchase a regional airline due to pilot and F/A contracts? This was the loophole. Investors that do pretty much exactly what UAL says. Owned by a guy owned by UAL basically. At least that’s how I understand it.

The way the press release is written. It seems SkyWest has a priority position for the 25 Ejets. Maybe, it is just poorly written (intentionally).

Same as CommutAir. United owns 40% and pulls the strings.

The Xjet internal announcement includes the 175:
ExpressJet will grow its United Express fleet to include 25 new Embraer E175-SC aircraft.
The E175 award further points to the central role ExpressJet will have in the United Express network. These aircraft establish a long-term fleet plan for our airline. Together with our 50-seat fleet, ExpressJet will be well-equipped to support our partner’s evolving network needs.
The first E175 delivery is scheduled for April 2019, and passenger flying is planned to begin in June 2019. Many details, including base and maintenance locations, are still being determined. We have, however, already begun the large body of work required to introduce the E175 to ExpressJet.
Greg, Brandee and Jamie will share further specifics about what this new fleet means for our Flight Ops, Inflight and Maintenance teams, in separate messages later today.
Also, in preparation for the acquisition and the E175s, we will operate our final American Eagle Flights on January 6, 2019. This timing will allow us to complete necessary training activities, while still flying our full United Express schedule.
