The Xjet internal announcement includes the 175:
ExpressJet will grow its United Express fleet to include 25 new Embraer E175-SC aircraft.
The E175 award further points to the central role ExpressJet will have in the United Express network. These aircraft establish a long-term fleet plan for our airline. Together with our 50-seat fleet, ExpressJet will be well-equipped to support our partner’s evolving network needs.
The first E175 delivery is scheduled for April 2019, and passenger flying is planned to begin in June 2019. Many details, including base and maintenance locations, are still being determined. We have, however, already begun the large body of work required to introduce the E175 to ExpressJet.
Greg, Brandee and Jamie will share further specifics about what this new fleet means for our Flight Ops, Inflight and Maintenance teams, in separate messages later today.
Also, in preparation for the acquisition and the E175s, we will operate our final American Eagle Flights on January 6, 2019. This timing will allow us to complete necessary training activities, while still flying our full United Express schedule.

Now, it will be interesting to see who loses 700’s. That shoe is about to drop. Mesa or GoJet? If it is Mesa, that probably also doesn’t end well for their Ejet contract either.

..."The transaction also includes certain protections around existing SkyWest Airlines flying, as well as priority position to add 25 new dual-cabin aircraft with United should those opportunities arise. As part of the transaction, SkyWest has also agreed to lease 20 CRJ200s to ExpressJet for up to five years."
Some folks are having trouble with English reading comprehension. The statement clearly aludes to some future announcement of Ejet expansion.

Merry Christmas and congratulations. This long shot scenario actually came true and is the most ideal situation that could have occurred. Hopefully this is a turning point for the company and for those who remain.
Perhaps the E145 does have a future into the next decade...? Nonetheless, congratulations!
