Anybody who keys the radio up and broadcasts their personal woes is making themselves a target for such comments. We all have problems. Be a professional.
Same goes for the Facebook drama queens who can’t have a moment of doubt without posting their fears and concerns all over social media.

Nope there were more. Newy and Mank in the beginning. They set tone for lack of work. I still remember my first joint MEC meeeting where I met Newy. Totally jerk off.

I’m still muddling through the XJT stuff, so forgive my ignorance...

Don’t know if it was here or where, but the system bids are a forecast of active pilots through the effective date of the bid.
Until SKYW or ManaAir figure out how to recruit, those numbers will continue to dwindle.

XJT needs a competitive advantage / niche in the industry to draw people. Endeavor does hard pay and commuting thing with the DGI program to boot, the AAG wholly-owneds sell the flow through, Republic has the contract and singular fleet of desirable aircraft, etc. I think if the company either provided some sort of enhanced CPP or flow-like program to United, they would have recruitment go through the roof.

I wish ExpressJet had more to offer. New EMB-175s and an average to slightly above average new compensation package doesn’t do anything for me.

For those who do jump I think you will see a dramatic drop in upgrade times. Much of the “top end” of the list has left- about 130 to K4 alone, all over at least 8 years. Throw in some leaving via the CPP and “other endeavors”. XJT can pretty much field as many -145’s as can be manned. As you pointed out there just needs to be an incentive to up the number of pilots again.
