It has changed largely because of the changing market place for pilots willing to work at a regional. To say “it will never change” is simply ignorant. This segment of aviation is constantly changing.
Things probably will get better again as soon as we get merged again to form a larger regional and United has to part ways with the whipsaw and actually offer some incentives to its pilots. Again, all the trash talk and trying to keep new hires out hurts our chances of being invited to the party. But just keep on trucking. Do your thing. There are 8 (probably 9) players in the mix right now. Only a few will emerge from the other side. United can’t just buy them all. |

It's not the job of the union or the pilots to attract new hires. Their job is to improve on the contract and quality of life for the pilots already at XJT. It's the company's job to attract new hires. At least you admit that you're only looking out for yourself. Are you a paid recruiter?
