If I remember correctly, per company email, for every dollar we make, UA makes 49 cents. I think that is understood as UA having 49% ownership. That's what officially the company told us in an email few months ago.

The CPP is nothing more than a good backup plan. Pass the hogan, pass the interview, get in the pool, and then I would highly advise that you keep your options open and continue to work your connections elsewhere. United makes it very clear when you pass the interview that it is not a job offer. You just made it thru another step in the process. You sign a waiver that basically gives them access to all your xjt records once you pass the interview and are accepted into the program. If you think they are only denying people with unexcused sick calls during the final review, then I have a bridge to sell you. United is going to hire who they want to hire, regardless of the parameters they agreed to in the CPP. If you have a lot of sick calls, or a track record of calling in sick around holidays, vacation, or training, I can guarantee you will be getting denied during your final review even if they were legitimate illnesses and were excused by a note. The rules are also different for everyone. Some without degrees don't get hired, some do. The CPP was designed to keep people from jumping ship and making lateral moves. Those that have made it over to UAL probably have a very positive opinion of it. Those that have been denied during the final review and have nothing in their background that should have disqualified them have a much different opinion. Don't expect the same level of honesty, integrity, and transparency from those that make the final hiring decisions over at UAL that they are expecting from all the pilot applicants.

You don’t need to be an insider. SEC UAL 10K 12/31/18

We also have investments in several domestic regional airlines. In January 2019, we completed the acquisition of a 49.9% interest in ManaAir LLC, which, as of immediately following the closing of that investment, owns 100% of the equity interests in ExpressJet Airlines, Inc., a domestic regional airline. We also have minority equity interests in CommutAir and Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. Excuse my 121 ignorance, but, does the net loss of pilots mean that reserve times will go down as well?. I imagine the number of lines is about the same, less pilots to cover them, so it'd be faster to hold a line?. Maybe it doesn't work that way

Everyone was 121 ignorant at one point. It’s a yes/no answer. We have pulled back how many hours we are flying for UA. Servicing the hours we can handle. Trust me you will fly on reserve and as more people are hired....

I am far from a cheerleader, Xjet is trying to recover from the lack of hiring and upgrades for the last year. Attrition is still present but it’s mainly CA (very little FO lateral). It will take a year to fix what is wrong from our previous mgmt. Xjet is a gamble but I feel it’s a good gamble.

XJT would be a good bet. It meets The criteria that i tell people. Always go to a airline with good attrition and healthy growth.. XJT has both right now... the past 5+ years they didn’t...

All very good news!
I am so glad to see that XJT management hasn't changed.

279 pilots accepted the job offer. Too bad they never stated that only 139 pilots actually showed up and attended class. Looks like the 600 won't happen.
