From what people are saying here, staffing is shrinking, flying is reduced, profitability is questionable, and the company isn’t negotiating on things that would repair the former two.

New hires do care about stability as they look for somewhere to work for the next 5+ years.

Profitability will all ways be a problem now that 1/2 goes back into UA’s pockets.. its the new Model... just like C5.. XJT is no longer a public company traded on the stock market right.. just like Air Wisconsin. Know one will know the profit except the owners wallet..

Looking at the seniority list I can confirm 136 names have been added in 2019. Total seniority list has been holding in the lower to mid 1400s for several weeks now.

All regionals should have attrition as people move on to better things. It's only bad when those better things are other regionals.

Also to note, at least at XJT, the vast majority of the folks on the list have either interviewed and been turned down at just about everywhere or have no desire to go anywhere. This isn't speculation. Fly with enough guys and you will learn this little unspoken secret. Upgrades may eventually happen. But not at a rate that you could expect at younger less senior regionals. Not even close.

I've definitely noticed my share of lifer captains, so you might be right about upgrade stagnation.

Anyway, I have a LCC interview next month so it might be a moot point for me soon.

I think the Kalitta Air thing helped. Probably about 140 or so from the top of the list when you figure in those who returned.
Retirements will probably start taking their toll on others.
