For awhile (still currently) we are short on LCP’s. In May I finished 4 new hires but then the focus was the transition pilots. I know LCP’s are working their butts off doing OE.

Lots of new captains in that time frame, too.

not just one or two - it's several dozen i think

things are looking up! Upgrade time at 7 years was one of the biggest reasons to look elsewhere. This is a huge improvement.

The problem is everyone else has continued to lower the upgrade times. The 3 years and 5 months XJT upgrade that was just posted is not close to regional industry standard.

Even worse, that upgrade is just an outlier since the 19-04 bid for other bases is still over a decade! The company designated 80-90% of the upgrades in our most junior base to stack the deck and advertise that upgrade is below 3 yrs here. Extremely misleading and sneaky on their part.

Most junior 19-04 upgrade (E-145) by base other than EWR (63 Lines):

CLE: 3 yrs, 6 months. (21 Lines)
ORD: 10 yrs, 2 months! (53 Lines)
IAH: 12 yrs, 6 months! (93 Lines)
TYS: No upgrades (extremely, extremely senior and tiny base) (6 Lines)

You realize that it’s the same way at other regionals and at the legacies. Check out how long to hold CA in IAH/DEN at UA compared to SFO.

Outlier? Every airline, major and regional, has junior bases and senior bases. They’re always “outliers”.

You clearly don't understand the current climate of the regional industry if you firmly believe that statement.

Upgrade is around 1-1.5yrs at 80% of regionals with many hiring direct entry captains (Envoy, Commutair, etc.). Get a grip on reality.
