Thanks mate, can you give me any kind of breakdown of the $5000 and $17000? My interviewer was a little bit 'grey' on how it all worked. All I can recall is $5000 sign on + $5000 for PIC endorsement + $x after IOE.
So the aircraft will either be ERJ/EMB and no mention of the CRJ?
Not sure if this is applicable to you as I am coming on an E3 visa, any idea about the ATP-CTP training, hard/easy?
Thanks again.

Look bro, everyone gets it. The airline you work for no longer caters to you. It’s about in line with Mesa and GoJets. Whatever dude. I’m happy with my OPPORTUNITY

So it's in line with the rest of United's "exclusive carriers"? That's not very good seeing as all of those are very low on work rules, pay and career progression. (Commutair, Gojets, Air Wisconsin, TSA, the list goes on).
"I'm happy with my OPPORTUNITY". That's the same slogan Great Lakes used to get people in the door. The regional airlines for Delta and Amrican have already moved on to consolidation and better working environments for their employees. United and this "DoSomePilotStuf" are caught in the ice ages and don't get it.

Why don't you go ahead and expand how they catered to the pilots before? This narrative you try to sew is very lame.

I guess I do have the advantage of a hopeful long term outlook, because I have no intention of staying here. It must really suck to work at a regional and have given up hope of ever making it to a real airline. I can see why you would be such a miserable being.

Why do you have a problem with the union getting the truth out there? Nothing that was said in that communication was untrue. Xjt isn't the worst place to work, but it certainly isn't the best place either. You talk about the union misleading people? How about the advertisements for "top pay" and a "direct path to united"? People should know what they're getting themselves into, before they get themselves into it. If everyone in this industry had your attitude, we'd all have 8 days off a month and be paying for 75% of our health insurance costs.

The bottom line is the Union sees new hires as a direct threat to their agenda. The Union does not want new hires at this company. They have made that very clear.

Because it’s not the full truth. No mention of the $10,000 worth of EQO we receive when declaring how low our pay rates are. And we have some of the best insurance in the industry. So both points you choose to bring up hold zero water.
