Anyone commuting ATL to any XJT base?

Trying to determine best/worst bases to commute to from ATL. Any information appreciated. Thanks.

Of course. Every base has them. Been doing it for nine years at three domiciles. Usually a handful of commuters. Monday and Friday are worst. Spirit available to IAH/EWR/ORD on limited schedule.

I disagree. Saturday is normally the worst due to decreased schedule.
Look at passrider.com
Look for Frequency, UAL flights.
SWA 737s have 2 jumpseat, as do DAL 321’s. Not sure about other airline Airbuses.

Not at XJT, but I do commute from ATL across the country.

1. Passrider: to see all options from A-B
2. FlightStats: to show all departures and arrivals at a specific airport. Great for those two leggers
3. StaffTraveler: Can't recommend this one enough
4. Fly any airline DL doesn't have JS priority on and look for Airbus (or any other dual JS) if possible.

With those tools, you should always be able to get to work and get home. Good luck!

Tons of people commuting ATL-ORD, along with myself, but it still hasn’t been a bad experience.

What’s nice about ATL-ORD is the intense competition with UA, DL and AA. You won’t get that in EWR, IAH or CLE.

As the 145 transition continues and the 175s start coming in, people will start to spread out.

Thanks for the information. They all look commutable to me. I'm curious as to why EWR is so junior. Can anyone shed some light on why?

It’s EWR 😭. The schedules have a lot of early starts and late finishes. It’s hard on commuting since you lose days off.

But if you live local, it’s fantastic. But the delays get annoying.

Agreed. EWR is a great base for locals and those within driving distance.

What about CLE?
