Latest System Bid....Congrats ASA

On taking almost all the 64 ERJ 175 CA positions. Pffft

I didn’t bid for it but to think they wanted to sign off on a deal just weeks before Delta terminated their flying and they wanted to go separate ways. They have made out pretty good on this deal.

PontiusPilot 03-06-2019 04:01 PM

We're one airline now. Who cares?

Congratulations to the new upgrades and 175 awards.

Need some cheese?

HVAA 03-06-2019 04:53 PM

The CRJ guys were screwed...good news for them finally.

Flaps Full 03-06-2019 04:56 PM

TYS went to a 1/7/19 hire. Also, I take it the "effective" 11/01/19 means that person won't officially get TYS as a base?

All bid memos include this language:
"Base advancements may occur any time prior to, or as late as the effective date."

Roger, thanks! Also, how often do we bid on new bases? Once a month? Or only as needed?

predhead 03-06-2019 05:22 PM

Junior 175 FO is a 1/2019 hire. Not exactly new hires getting it but farther down the list than I expected.

It's whenever system bids come out, which is as needed. However, we've been getting system bids almost monthly in 2019 as the 175 flying spools up and creates backfill vacancies.

You can also try to base trade, and that's always monthly.

I was surprised to see that. Didn’t expect it so soon, but things are finally moving!

Upgrades down to 5 years.

You are an incredible moron if you think anyone from LASA made out well.

You better hope and pray nothing half as bad as what happened to them happens to your career.

PhantomHawk 03-06-2019 06:53 PM

Or worse.....that you permanently stick yourself at a regional by making a name for yourself as somebody who causes problems. Because that would suck, too.......

Yeah, this is my 32nd post here.....doubt that

PhantomHawk 03-06-2019 07:04 PM

Not what I was referring to......but never mind. Some of the ERJ guys who DID get the 175 CA spot are the ones who wil barely fly it. Glad to see LOTS of CAs get themselves back to IAH finally.

HA! I’m not even sure what that was supposed to mean....What are you implying? I guess you deleted it before I could quote it....but what attorney?

PhantomHawk 03-06-2019 07:22 PM

I decided to withdraw from the discussion. You win.

You’re no fun now that you are a Mainline Pilot 😂

da42pilot 03-07-2019 05:54 AM

Ladies..... plenty of E175 captain positions are still to be awarded THIS YEAR. Hang in there.

How many CA slots are left for the E175?

Well, he withdrew from the discussion, but I won't. You sir, are a feminine hygiene product of epic proportions.

That's it. Now I shall withdraw. You are not worth keystroke banters.

Hou757 03-07-2019 02:39 PM

I thought no ERJ pilots were to be displaced for CRJ pilots. I see ORD folks getting displaced.

Out of our base but we couldn’t lose our seats

The CRJ guys, as of 01/09/2019, are now pilots that work under the XE CBA so they can displace anyone by virtue of their seniority just like the erj pilots can do.

Probably another 50 or so.

When we came over from ASA, yes, I think you’re correct. We’re CRJ XJT now.

Wasn’t that like 2 years ago? And all those CAs have been downgraded now?

Upgrade times aren't going to come down to 3 years overnight. When they do come down, it will be the recent new hires who will win out.

I'm not in my 20's bud, I don't have time to wait 5 years for an upgrade. And I have >1200 hrs SIC Part 121, so why should I? And don't give me any BS about "paying my dues". My dues were paid for a decade in the 90's.

Don't blame me because you have no sense of humor.

You must be a miserable little person. All you do is make snide remarks. Does it make you feel better about yourself to degrade others? I know your type, you're a pathetic human being.

Man you must be Chuck Yeager with all that experience. They should make you a 777 CA.

Unfortunately, you will struggle. There is more to being a CA then flying skills (and yours have atrophied). I feel for your LCP, CA and FO’s when they fly with you. The chip on your shoulder(s) is quite evident.

PhantomHawk 03-16-2019 10:25 AM

Hey hey HEY! Don’t besmirch his good name. He has OVER 1200 hours. SIC, no less! Those numbers speak volumes. We could all learn from one so wise as this.

DownInPetaluma 03-16-2019 12:27 PM

He’s been busy mucking up many threads here with childlike antics. Should make a solid DEC.

Are you at ExpressJet? If so, how long? I don't see five-year upgrades much longer.
I'm no longer at ExpressJet, but I've seen this rodeo a few times. Eight-year upgrade turns into 18 months. Two-year upgrade turns into 6 years. They are tough to predict.

So I have a chip on my shoulder because I have the hours required to be a CA and don't want to wait two years to upgrade?

I never said I'm ready to jump into a CA seat right away. I'm well aware I it will take some time to get back to being proficient enough to even contemplate a CA upgrade.

You don't know anything about me to make the stupid and immature assumptions you're making, so speak for yourself. If anyone is acting like pompous ass here, it's you and PhantomHawk frat boy.

I hope your ridicule of others helps lift your obvious low self esteem.

Maybe you could learn to be an adult, frat boy.
