Default Upgrade Time

Hi All, I have an interview with XJet soon and just had a few questions:

1) Does anyone have a pulse on what the upgrade time is these days.
2) Do all new hires get put on the 145 or is there an option to got on the 175
3) I am looking to get ORD as soon as possible as I live in Chicago. Is this still a pretty junior base
4) How are the medical benefits, I have young son and another on the way so if anyone can give me an idea on what the premiums look like for the family plan that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hey buddy. Upgrade times are dropping, presently most recent award was to a 2/2014 hire. It will continue to drop with each bid. If you want Chicago then you'll want the 145. The 175 is presently only in Houston. I'm single so I don't know the price or quality of health benefits for a family with kids.

Thanks, I hope you are right about the 6 year upgrade time coming down. Seems like they have the longest time to upgrade amongst all regionals

I would reach out to a recruiter about the health plans. There are at least 4 options to choose from with very different prices.

2007 hires can't hold CA in ORD so keep that in mind. A bunch of CA's were just displaced to CLE. Don't count on a fast upgrade in ORD. You'll be upgrading in EWR, IAH or CLE and commuting....

How easy or fast would it be to get IAH/145 and how long would it take to hold a line?

As a guy who just lateraled here. Every single person got their first choice base 2 weeks into training. Which was every base option except for Knoxville.

Are newhires getting the 175 at all? That would mean being stuck in IAH for a while, wouldn’t it?
