Until a month ago it was. Flying is getting chopped up it seems. Some flights out of TYS are being done by Skywest now as well. One big happy family, eh. United must have learned some things from Delta on how to demoralize it's regional pilot groups. Like we needed any other impetus for bad morale.

The additional detail may have been unnecessary, but it was also given AFTER landing. It may have well been a decision of the captain in response to questions/upset passengers.

I've had some goofy schedule changes recently. A few days ago I got a voicemail from crew scheduling saying a flight had been changed to a CRJ and then later it was changed back. It got awkward because the change was about 24 hours before departure so a bunch of people showed up with seats assigned that didn't exist (like 12B for example). It's possible that flight was swapped off the 145.
