Yeah. They weren’t perfect. But I tried to remind myself that they were doing a job- trying to plug holes with warm bodies. They had to deal with some pilots who are jerks and get offended when told they have to work.

Commuted for my first two years at ExpressJet. Only had to “commuter clause” maybe two or three times and those times I did, the company just ended up positive spacing me to base (back when they could book super last minute positive space). Long story short I never had an issue nor have I heard from any of my colleagues of any commuter clause issues.

I believe they still can, as long as the flight isn’t overbooked.
