United’s Whipsaw Game

When will someone notice what United is doing to their regional feeders? C5 or should I say “United” is offering 50,000 bonus for new pilots. United’s goal is to disrupt XJT, and other regionals. They want our pilots to leave for C5 and grow their operation. WTF? We are nothing to United. They want cheap and unreliable regionals. Make no mistake, United is running our airline and telling management to ignore ALPA.

I think we’ve all noticed. They are trying to get folks from Mesa, GoJets and Compass. We just happen to be on the same scale as those carriers. It’s not like they can refuse to take pilots from XJT.

What’s C5 got to do with this? The fact they are offering 50k for DEC? FOs get same bonus as XJT. C5 can’t expand without more captains. It has nothing to do with whipsawing for c5. Captains are routinely getting 200%, half to all of the month on how short C5 is. Considering xjt n c5 have pretty much the same ownership structure.

Evaded being Compassed? I think the ASA folks would disagree.

It’s a good thing ASA bought us and used us as a lifeboat!! Lol. Too soon?

Not too soon, just highly biased. It could have been a much larger bloodbath.

(Btw, the ERJ contract is embarrassing.)

Fairly certain this exact sentiment has been posted almost a decade ago. XJT has had 0 control over their business plan for quite some time. I hate to see anyone there think there’s meat left on the bone for xjt.

Whipsaw IS the name of the regional game. Settle in, get comfortable, and fasten your shoulder harness.

Or GTFO...

Not true anymore. Whipsaw is only the name of the United regional game. Delta and American are reducing the number of carriers, while United happily trucks along with 8.
