Any update on this new info out there, whats the chances i can get EWR assigned once I start Indoc?

Thank you.

No one around here has said anything specifically of EWR downsizing.

This is one of those rumors that start spinning out of control.

Perhaps I misread I’ll go back to post to reread.

I’ve heard the crew lounge will be getting smaller for whatever reason.

... because they plan to close EWR as a base in the first quarter of 2020?

THIS was original Post I read, perhaps I misunderstood...thoughts. FROM

"Commutair going to 60 aircraft, Gojet moving to open EWR as a base; XJT moving from terminal A to hardstands (where Commutair was before), less lines and only a couple hundred pilots in EWR. This seems possible.

I still don't get it though, why would they open a base for GoJet in EWR, just to close it for XJT? How does that help anyone?

I've been off for almost 2 weeks, so maybe something suddenly changed, but I haven't seen or heard of us EVER being at the hardstands at C130. The overall number of lines is about what I expected for this time of year relative to what we had over the summer.

If that is the case they would be doing the old longevity flush. A nasty strategy to try to get senior people to quit by commuting. Envoy did it when they closed most of their bases and shoved a contract down their throats, only to open them back up again. Nasty management tricks.
