5k Type Rating Bonus
Hello guys,
I’m wondering if ExpressJet throws in another 5 grand for a PIC type rating. Or are there other stipulations? Thx |
Go to Republic.

Be sure to read the rest of these forums with all that’s going on at XJT. I wouldn’t come here in this environment.

Thx Unfortunately our EWR base is shrinking drastically or closing all together due to the GoJet CRJ-550 aircraft moving in. No new hires have received this base in months. Even if you do get assigned it miraculously, you’ll likely be displaced. There are many other options in the wider New York area to be home based (Republic, Envoy, Commutair, Endeavor, etc). Good luck. |

Envoy offers a $23k bonus for the type rating/previous 121 time. How can ExpressJet even compare? “Enhanced Part 121 Program – In addition to other bonuses, experienced Part 121 pilots can earn up to $23,000 sign-on bonus and upgrade to Captain in under 6 months!“ https://www.envoyair.com/pilots/?gcl...hoCSxUQAvD_BwE |
They can compare because they offer $27,000 with eligible type rating and while the upgrade may not be 6 months currently it will be less than that within a few months. It is pretty common knowledge we will be hiring OTS soon.
As far as the supreme negativity on this board just go check out other boards. The least negativity exists at the regionals with no career progression. SkyWest, Mesa and Republic have the fewest complaints. Here and elsewhere you have the contingent that will never be happy because they have yet to receive their “entitlements.” |

Not to mention pilots get flow on top of that. Simple choice for those in the Northeast. https://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/...onal/envoy_air |
Well I’ll be at United after 2000 hrs. Nothing compares to that.
Go ahead and tell me how I’ll be shot down in the final review. I’ll take my chances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The $23k is in ADDITION to the $18k all new hire pilots enjoy when joining Envoy. By my math that’s $41k in bonuses. Hardly comparable to $27k...

2,000 hrs of flight time or 2,000 billable hours on here spreading all the propaganda and miss information for your own personal gain?
Guessing the latter, explains why you’re always on APC trolling the pilots. Let’s just say ExpressJet was easily the best possible decision for my career and it’s not even close. I’m sorry about your luck there partner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hello guys,
I’m wondering if ExpressJet throws in another 5 grand for a PIC type rating. Or are there other stipulations? Thx It has to be an “eligible” type rating. There were a couple of guys in my class that has Learjet and Citation types and they didn’t qualify for the PIC-Type Bonus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
